I must say that I learned this a while ago, but decided to share for those who interested to learn. First, I need to mention that this is not a way for lifestyle. Hacking is just the same as stealing. But getting to know (gather) more, will probably be part as an education to be aware and get ready for any attempt to us in the next time.

This method aim is to attack wireless using re-attempt passwords until it succeeded. Most of the time I found success in breaking the wireless security, so if you’re interested, you can have a try too. Here I compiled the easiest way to hack WEP wireless method.

First off, you need to have all equipments to start hacking wireless. All you need is:

A Computer/laptop.

A Wireless Booster device (You may need to buy one if don’t have one as some default network card do not have supported driver to run the hacking method. If you’re in Malaysia and wish to buy one, can directly contact me. I don’t sell it, but can refer one for you.)

Linux Backtrack OS 3 (Now is Backtrack 4, but I am more familiar with the previous version) : Available for download here. Burn the downloaded .iso file into a CD.

So how can you hack wireless?

Insert the BackTrack 3 CD. Run the first boot order as CD/DVD ROM. Turn on your PC with the Boot CD of Linux Backtrack 3 OS downloaded previously. (like what you usually do to format a PC using Windows XP/Vista/7).

You will come out into a login menu page, choose “BT3 Graphic Mode (KDE)” or which suit your monitor resolution.

Wait until Back Track environment fully loaded and open up the usual “Windows” interface.

p/s : In certain cases, Backtrack will not load in interface mode. It will go into command mode (like MSDOS) and requested for a username and password. If that happen, just enter username: root , and password: toor . Then, if requested, type in “fixvesa” and then “startx“.

Okay, now you have successfully loaded the Back Track 3 OS environment. What you need to to next is:

Click “Start” > “Run Command”.

Input “spoonwep” to the run command box, and click open/enter.

A SpoonWep2 screen will then popup.

Now this is the real hacking part

At the “SPOONWEP SETTINGS” area, choose NET CARD = WLAN0 (must have WLAN0 option, if it does not appear, please make sure your Wifi Booster is properly connected. If still don’t appear, your Wireless network card may not suitable for hacking. Please contact me if you wish to buy one.)

For the “DRIVER”, choose “NORMAL”, and MODE = UNKNOWN. Then click NEXT.

Your are now at the “VICTIM DISCOVERY” area.

Choose “FIXED CHAIN”.

Click ‘LAUNCH”.

Wireless Scanning Started

The system will scan for any available wireless area around your location. Choose the wireless connection with the status of CLIS = √ only for cracking and then click “SELECTION OK”.

Next go to ATTACK PANEL, and just click “LAUNCH”.

Wireless Hacking Started

That’s it. The software will attempt an attack to your selected wireless. Please wait for 3 to 5 minutes (or maybe longer time) for the software to find the password for that wireless.

Once hacking attack completed, the result shown will looks like this:

68 : 25 : 21 : FF : B0

So, the wireless password is 682521FFB0. Restart back your PC/laptop using Windows back, and connect to that wireless like normal, using the password hacked just now.

IT WILL SURELY WORKS!

If you need animated tutorial, here I attached with the Video. Further reading if you wish to know more.

Please bear in mind that this method isn’t meant for stealing. It’s just a part of IT Savvy learning session.Do not steal.

p/s: Would like to hear comments from you guys. Thanks.

Microsoft has announced that their new Windows Mobile 6.5 for smart phone which claimed to be 20% faster than their previous system. The Microsoft Malaysia expected that there will be more than 30 phone model with Windows Mobile 6.5 released soon.

The launched of this new Windows Mobile 6.5 is also comes with new function including online backup and application order from the free application provided, My Phone. With regard of the application, all information and data from your smart phone can now be synchronized directly to the server as a backup, including contacts, texts, images, and data. To complete the Windows Phone capability, Microsoft embed whole new unique application to their Custom Theme Creator, which users can get from www.windowphone.com/theme.

What’s New with Windows Mobile 6.5?

New Today screen

“Honeycomb” Start screen

Finger-friendly UI elements

New lock screen

Revamped Internet Explorer

Windows Marketplace

Exclusive content

The faster operational system was improved based on the previous user experiences, especially to Windows Live, What’s New Feed, and social networking image uploads. New phones will now be equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5, including Acer beTouch E100, E101, E220, neoTouch, Garmin Asus nuvifone M20 dan HTC Snap TouchPro2, Touch Diamond21, Touch2, LG GM730, LG GM550, Samsung Omnia II, Omnia Pro B7320 and PRO B7330.

Still, some few leap over are on, especially the multitouch support as still no avail, which appear to be the most disadvantage for touch phone. For me, this is the most function to be equipped to any smart phone. If Windows Mobile 6.5 is completely support multitouch, then I’m pretty sure users will think twice before getting iPhone or any Android system phone.

For my point for view, I am still interested with iPhone and Android phones since I previously was the bad experienced Windows Mobile user. But however, from this point, it looks like Microsoft has back on track. We will see what happens and how these changes gave benefits to us soon.
