Microsoft has announced that their new Windows Mobile 6.5 for smart phone which claimed to be 20% faster than their previous system. The Microsoft Malaysia expected that there will be more than 30 phone model with Windows Mobile 6.5 released soon.

The launched of this new Windows Mobile 6.5 is also comes with new function including online backup and application order from the free application provided, My Phone. With regard of the application, all information and data from your smart phone can now be synchronized directly to the server as a backup, including contacts, texts, images, and data. To complete the Windows Phone capability, Microsoft embed whole new unique application to their Custom Theme Creator, which users can get from www.windowphone.com/theme.

  • New Today screen
  • “Honeycomb” Start screen
  • Finger-friendly UI elements
  • New lock screen
  • Revamped Internet Explorer
  • Windows Marketplace
  • Exclusive content

The faster operational system was improved based on the previous user experiences, especially to Windows Live, What’s New Feed, and social networking image uploads. New phones will now be equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5, including Acer beTouch E100, E101, E220, neoTouch, Garmin Asus nuvifone M20 dan HTC Snap TouchPro2, Touch Diamond21, Touch2, LG GM730, LG GM550, Samsung Omnia II, Omnia Pro B7320 and PRO B7330.

Still, some few leap over are on, especially the multitouch support as still no avail, which appear to be the most disadvantage for touch phone. For me, this is the most function to be equipped to any smart phone. If Windows Mobile 6.5 is completely support multitouch, then I’m pretty sure users will think twice before getting iPhone or any Android system phone.

For my point for view, I am still interested with iPhone and Android phones since I previously was the bad experienced Windows Mobile user. But however, from this point, it looks like Microsoft has back on track. We will see what happens and how these changes gave benefits to us soon.
